Asthafen, Ketotifen Tablet
Ketotifen, the primary constituent of Asthafen 1 Tablet, is available in the oral as well as ophthalmic dosage forms. The oral forms of this medicine are used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis; they may also be used for the prevention of asthma attacks. The ophthalmic forms of this medicine are used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. The oral form of this medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 6 months of age. The ophthalmic form of this medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 3 years of age.

- Asthma prophylaxis
This medicine is used along with other medicines for the prevention of asthma attacks. It is not helpful in the treatment of an acute asthma attack.
- Allergic Rhinitis
This medicine is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing; runny, stuffy, or itchy nose; watery eyes; eye itching; etc. associated with allergic rhinitis.
