Bromhexine 8 mg Tablet is a mucolytic agent which reduces the thickness of sputum. It is used to treat conditions with abnormal mucus secretion such as a common cold, infections of the respiratory tract, influenza, etc. to allow the patient to breathe freely and deeply. It should be used with caution in patients with a known history of gastric ulcers due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

What is Bromhexine prescribed for?
This medicine is used to relieve chest congestion caused by thick and sticky mucus in the airways. This may be associated with lung diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, etc.
When not to use?
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to bromhexine or any other inactive ingredients present along with it.
